This month we are featuring wine from Domaine Gayda, located in the heart of the Languedoc, France. In the largest wine region of the world, Domaine Gayda strives to create wine with provenance and a sense of “being” that is a true reflection of the quality and diversity of the Languedoc Roussillon. Ruby red with some purple highlights. Vibrant, expressive nose of red and black fruits, pepper, spice and “garrigue”. A full bodied wine, with an expansive mouthfeel, integrated tannins and a long, silky finish.

Chardonnay 2014

 

Appealingly floral and fruity on the nose. Toasty, stone fruit, mineral with good weight and depth on the palate. Fresh finish.

Grenache 2012

 

Displays an explosive red fruit profile with moderate grippy tannins, surprising acidity and an elegance and impressive longevity on the finish. This is a serious Grenache, with purity of fruit and concentration. Shows real richness and depth whilst keeping the lively fruit expression synonymous with this varietal.
