This month we are heading “down under” and presenting wines from South Australia where half of that county’s wine is produced.  With it’s vast diversity in geography and climate it produces a great variety of beautiful wines. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Cheers!

Flegenheimer Sparkling Shiraz

This sparkling Shiraz displays a vibrant lush garnet color and a bouquet of rich berry fruits, dark cherries and soft lingering hints of integrated oak. On the palate bright juicy red fruits and sweet plum are balanced with silky tannins and a velvety smooth finish.

  • Duck, Lamb
  • Strong cheeses

Nugan Estate Drovers Hut Chardonnay 2012

Light yellow. Ripe nectarine, melon and tangerine on the fragrant nose and in the mouth. In a lush, open-knit style with a jolt of bracing acidity adding lift and focus. Picks up a stony, almost Chablis-like hint of minerality on the finish which lingers with very good tenacity and focus.

Food Pairings

  • Pork dishes
  • Grilled Chicken
  • Fish and Shellfish

Flegenheimer Paisant Grenache 2015

This Grenache lends itself to robust cherry flavors with refreshing acidity. Small amounts of Shiraz add blackberry and deep color as well as tannin structure. A pleasing nose and superb balance.
