This month we are heading to California and presenting you with the beautiful wines from Wente Vineyards.  This family owned winery  founded in 1883 is celebrating 135 years of family winemaking tradition. Wente Vineyards is the oldest continuously-operated, family-owned winery in the country. The wines are 100% estate grown and sustainably farmed in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay and Arroyo Seco, Monterey appellations. The winery is owned and managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Wente family, who is recognized for their influence in making Chardonnay the best-selling varietal in the country, based on numerous accomplishments over the past 130 years. The development of the Wente clone spread to thousands of vineyards across California and the winery was the first to introduce a varietally-labeled California Chardonnay. The Wente family is proud to be recognized as “California’s First Family of Chardonnay.”

We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.  Cheers!

Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

The 2016 Charles Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representation of a Livermore Valley Cabernet, bringing forth dark berry notes such as blackberry, complemented by pink peppercorn and a layer of cocoa dust. This wine has a velvety acidity and would be great to drink immediately or store in your cellar.

Riva Ranch Chardonnay 2016

The Riva Ranch Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a beautifully rich, yet balanced California-style Chardonnay that represents what the Arroyo Seco appellation has to offer. Classic Chardonnay flavors of apple and pear, Arroyo Seco fruit also consistently provides aromas and flavors of tropical and stone fruits. A full-bodied Chardonnay perfectly balanced with ample acidity and ripe fruit character.
